Eric Brown - CEO
Eric Brown introduced a cutting edge content management system to the website development industry in 2003 when he started Smart Site Inc. As CEO, he led the development of the company's latest solution, LiveEdit, which allows customers to make their websites more fluid, and update information as it becomes relevant with ultra intuitive web based tools. Brown's website experience started in college when he founded a web development company called Ready Net Go. Before selling the firm, he created high-end custom websites for businesses nation-wide and international. He also started and led Virtual Strategies, an information technology consulting company that catered to small to medium businesses.
Brown has leadership experience in sales and marketing, general management and operations, product development, information technology and maintenance.
He developed and taught multimedia, HTML and web design curriculum. Brown's community leadership and work in new and emerging markets has been highly recognized. He has been named one of the Top 5 business leaders under the age of 40 by ROI Central Minnesota Magazine in 2008 and has been featured in an leading article "Cutting Edge Web Design: The next generation."
Eugene Schreder - President
Schreder, a Minnesota native, enjoys building and managing the national sales distribution channel for Smart Site. "There is nothing more rewarding to me than watching new partners to our community successfully grow and develop their businesses."
Schreder brings extensive business ownership and growth expertise to the LiveEdit Community.
Schreder most recently bought and sold Unique Screen Media which started with three employees and local distribution and when sold had 100+ employees with national distribution in approximately 40 states.
“Gene brings the skills and experience we need to strategically launch LiveEdit nationwide,” Brown says. As CEO, Brown will focus on product development, and long-term company visioning and planning.
Schreder was born in St. Cloud; grew up in Avon on a small farm; and now lives in Paynesville on Lake Koronis with his wife and two children.
Katie Manar - Director of Operations
Manar has 17 years experience in large and small business, including 10 years in operations and management. In her role as Regional Manager at a large corporation, and as CEO of Solutions Consulting, she developed comprehensive training and education programs designed to improve knowledge and efficiency. She facilitated small and large scale process improvement projects and taught complex, diverse teams how to succeed at building relationships with customers. She developed a career-pathing and staff development model still used at numerous companies. She has additional background in sales and marketing.
Manar has done public speaking and training on a variety of topics including building efficiencies in the workplace, developing and challenging your team, and the power of honest conversation. In 2007, she co-founded the women's retreat "It's About Time For You".
She and her husband have two children and are actively involved in their community.
